Commercial & Investment Properties 1999 Realtor of the Year Experienced, Professional, and Tenacious are words often used to describe Charles Marina, he received his Real Estate license 25 years ago, and has been a consistent leader in the commercial real estate market with an impressive and proven record of accomplishments. Charles holds the prestigious “Certified Commercial Investment Member” (CCIM) designation, the “Certified Real Estate Brokerage Manager” (CRB) designation and the “Graduate Realtors Institute” (GRI) designation. Previously recognized at the McAllen Association of Realtors annual banquet for being the “Top Commercial Leader” with sales and leasing in excess of $15,000,000 for three consecutive years, from 1987 to 1989; his legacy continues to this day. Charles Marina served as the 1994 President for the Greater McAllen Association of Realtors and chaired numerous committees including the Ethics and Professional Standards committee. In 1999, Charles was named “Realtor of the Year” for the Greater McAllen Association of Realtors. At the state level, he has served as the Region 11 TREPAC Trustee, TAR Director, and on the following committee’s, Legal Review, Political Affairs, Governmental Affairs, Task Force and Legislative. Charles served on the National level as a Federal District Coordinator to former U.S. Congressman, Kika de la Garza, and the current U. S. Congressman Ruben Hinojosa. Charles is currently serving as a National Association of Realtors Director. He has also served as the Legislative Chairman, Treasurer, Grievance Chairman, Vice President along with other capacities of the Greater McAllen Association of Realtors. He has served as a director of the McAllen South Rotary Club, President of the Memorial High School Boosters Club and currently serves on several committees throughout the community. In 1988, Charles and Debra Marina founded First American Realty Company, a full service real estate brokerage firm that has established an impeccable reputation for its integrity and service to its clients and customers.
