Rio Grande Valley

The Rio Grande Valley consists of four counties in South Texas: Hidalgo, Cameron, Starr, & Willacy.  As of 2018, population estimates for the Rio Grande Valley, sometimes referred to as “Magic Valley”, surpassed 1.4 million.  The population is expected to increase 5% over the next five years.

Trade

More trade moves through Texas than any other state in the country.  Over $650 Billion in traded goods pass through ports of entry in Texas annually.  The Pharr-Reynosa International Bridge is the No. 1 land port of entry for fresh fruits and vegetables.  Funding for bridge infrastructure improvements is critical to the long term success and growth.
